How DPR Wholesalers Collects, Uses and Protects
Your Personal Information

DPR Wholesalers Limited takes the protection of your personal data seriously and is committed to handling it in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We want you to feel confident that any information you share with us is kept safe and secure, and that you understand exactly how and why we use it.

This notice explains what information we collect and why, who we share it with and on what basis, how long we keep it, and what rights you have over your own data. DPR Wholesalers Limited is the "Data Controller" of the personal data you provide to us - in other words, we decide the purposes for which, and the way in which, your personal data is processed. Where this notice refers to "we" or "us", it means DPR Wholesalers Limited.

If we make changes to this notice, we will update it on our website. Should you wish to contact us about anything in this notice, you can write to:

DPR Wholesalers Limited
17 Suez Road, Enfield, EN3 7SN

This privacy notice was last updated on 20th May 2026.

What Information We Collect

When you buy goods from us, you're entering into a contract with us, so we'll need to set up a DPR Wholesalers account before you can order. To do this, we ask you to provide some basic personal details.

If you've paid by credit or debit card, or set up a direct debit, we'll also securely store the relevant payment details so future orders are quicker. New customers, or existing customers whose card details have expired, will be asked whether they'd like this information stored.

If you apply for a trade credit account, we obtain information about you from credit reference agencies - see "Who We Share Your Information With" below for more detail. We also collect some technical information, such as your IP address, when you use our website on desktop or mobile, so we can personalise your experience - our Cookies Notice further down this page covers this in full.

For security purposes, DPR Wholesalers also uses CCTV across our warehouse and trading premises.

Information We May Ask For

  • Full name
  • Address (current & previous)
  • Date of birth
  • Contact number & email
  • Payment & bank details
  • Device & IP address

How We Use Your Information

Data protection law only allows us to use your personal data where we have a proper reason for doing so - for example, to fulfil a contract with you, because you've given consent, because it's in our legitimate business interests, or because we have a legal obligation to. The table below sets out the main ways we use your data and the basis we rely on.

Who We Share Your Information With

DPR Wholesalers works with a number of trusted suppliers, agencies and businesses to provide you with the goods and services you expect from us. We only ever pass on the minimum information needed, and every partner is subject to security checks.

Supplier Partners

Trusted partners who supply products and services on our behalf, holding only the minimum information needed.

Delivery Partners

We share limited details with delivery partners so your order reaches you.

IT Providers

Businesses who support our website and wider business systems.

Marketing Companies

Help us manage electronic communications, surveys and reviews.

Payment Processors

Trusted third parties who securely take and manage your payments.

Credit Reference Agencies

Checked when you apply for a trade credit account, to confirm identity and assess affordability.

When you apply for credit with us, we search with credit reference agencies including Experian, CallCredit and Equifax, who will also give us information about you such as your financial history. This helps us assess creditworthiness, confirm your identity, manage your account, and prevent fraud. We continue to exchange information with these agencies for the lifetime of your account, including details of settled accounts and any outstanding debts not repaid on time.

We may also use automated credit-scoring methods to assess applications and confirm identity. If you don't meet our lending criteria, your application may be automatically declined; you have a right to object to automated decision-making, and can contact our Data Protection Officer at any time for more information.

Before providing goods, services or financing, we also carry out checks with fraud prevention agencies to protect our business and comply with the law. These agencies may retain a record for up to six years where a fraud or money-laundering risk is identified, and this record may affect your ability to obtain services elsewhere.

Transfers Outside the UK

Some of the information you provide may occasionally be accessed outside the UK and European Economic Area - for example, by our IT support partners. Although your data is held in UK data centres, colleagues based overseas may access it to carry out the support activities described in this notice.

Wherever this happens, DPR Wholesalers puts appropriate contractual safeguards in place to make sure your information is kept just as confidential and secure as it would be in the UK. We also carry out due diligence on any partners who use cloud or hosted technologies to ensure they meet the right accreditations.

How Long We Keep Your Information

How long we retain your personal data depends on the purpose for which it was collected and any legal obligations that apply. As a general rule, we keep your information for up to seven years after it's no longer needed for any of the purposes set out above, mainly so that we're able to establish, bring or defend legal claims if needed.

There are a few exceptions to this general rule:

  • where the law requires us to hold it for longer, or to delete it sooner;
  • where you exercise your right to erasure and we have no continuing need to keep the data; or
  • where a legal claim or regulatory requirement means we need to retain it for a longer or shorter period.

Your Rights

Your personal data is protected by a number of legal rights, often referred to as your Data Subject Rights. There's more detail on each of these on the Information Commissioner's Office website.

If you have any questions about your rights, or would like to exercise any of them, please contact us using the details at the bottom of this page. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the ICO.

You Can Ask Us To

  • Give you access to your data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Erase your data
  • Object to our processing

Keeping in Touch With You

From time to time we like to keep you up to date with new ranges, special offers and improvements to our website. When you set up your account, we'll ask whether you'd like to receive this type of marketing information. We will not share your details with companies outside the DPR Wholesalers group for their own marketing purposes.

If you'd rather not receive marketing information, you can ask us to stop at any time - by calling our Contact Centre on 02035 835200, via My Account online, by using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by writing to our Data Protection Officer at the address at the bottom of this page. Please note you may continue to receive mailings for a short period while your request is processed.
