About DPR Wholesalers

What is DPR Wholesalers and what does it do?

DPR Wholesalers is a family-run wholesale cash and carry business with decades of experience supplying the independent retail trade across London and the wider UK. Our warehouse is located on the Brimsdown Industrial Estate in Enfield, North London, and houses over 30,000 product lines across 21 aisles within three substantial warehouse units.

We supply independent retailers, market traders, convenience stores, gift shops, pound shops, garden centres, online sellers, and a broad range of other trade buyers with competitively priced wholesale stock. Our focus is on non-food goods, and we're particularly well known for seasonal merchandise, housewares, toys, gifts, and stationery. Incorporated as DPR Wholesalers Limited in 2014, the business continues to be led by the Doshi family, who have been active in the wholesale trade for many years.

Was DPR Wholesalers really featured on BBC One's The Apprentice?

Yes — DPR Wholesalers was selected as both the filming location and product supplier for a task on BBC One's The Apprentice. Lord Sugar, alongside his advisors Nick Hewer and Karren Brady, visited our Brimsdown warehouse as candidates were challenged to select wholesale products and maximise their return on investment. The episode gave millions of viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the scale of our wholesale operation and the variety of products we carry.

It remains a proud milestone for our team and a reflection of the quality, range, and facilities we offer to trade buyers every day of the week.

How long has DPR Wholesalers been in business?

The Doshi family has been active in the wholesale and retail industry for many years, building significant expertise in sourcing, buying, and supplying the independent retail trade. DPR Wholesalers Limited was formally incorporated in 2014 (UK Company No. 09215195) and has grown steadily since, expanding its product range and customer base while remaining true to the family-run values that define the business.

Trade Accounts & Membership

Is DPR Wholesalers open to the general public?

DPR Wholesalers operates exclusively as a trade-only wholesale cash and carry. We supply registered businesses and traders rather than members of the general public. Our customers include independent shop owners, market traders, convenience retailers, pound stores, online resellers, gift shop operators, and many other types of trade buyers.

If you run a business and are looking to source wholesale stock, we'd love to welcome you to our Brimsdown warehouse. Please bring suitable proof of your business activity when visiting for the first time.

Do I need to register a trade account before visiting?

You don't need to pre-register before your first visit, but you will need to demonstrate your status as a legitimate trade buyer when you arrive. Acceptable forms of evidence include a business card, VAT registration certificate, business bank account statement, or other documentation confirming your trading activity.

Our team will be happy to guide you through the process on arrival. Once set up, returning to the warehouse is quick and straightforward.

Is there a minimum order value or quantity?

There is no blanket minimum order requirement for trade customers shopping in person at our Brimsdown warehouse. We understand that buyers have different needs, and we're set up to accommodate both smaller top-up orders and large-volume bulk purchases. Individual product lines are sold in wholesale pack quantities, which vary by item and supplier.

For customers ordering delivery rather than visiting in person, a minimum order value of £200 applies. Please contact our team to discuss your requirements and confirm delivery availability in your area.

What payment methods do you accept?

We offer a range of payment options to suit trade customers:

  • Debit & Credit Cards
  • Cash
  • Bank Transfer
  • Approved Trade Accounts (subject to status)

If you have questions about payment terms, credit facilities, or would like to discuss opening an approved trade account, please contact our sales team in advance and they'll be happy to assist.

Do I need to register to place an order?

Yes. DPR Wholesalers operates exclusively as a trade-only wholesale supplier, which means you will need to create a business account before placing an order online or arranging a delivery. Account registration is straightforward — our team will guide you through the process and confirm your eligibility as a trade buyer.

If you're visiting our Brimsdown warehouse in person for the first time, please bring proof of your business activity (such as a business card, VAT certificate, or business bank statement) and our team will get you set up on arrival.

Who can open a trade account with DPR Wholesalers?

We supply UK-based businesses of all sizes. Trade accounts are open to a wide range of business types, including:

  • Independent retail shops
  • Online sellers and marketplace traders
  • Market traders and car boot sellers
  • Convenience stores and newsagents
  • Cash & carry resellers
  • Hospitality businesses

When applying, you may be asked to provide company details and your VAT number (if applicable). If you're unsure whether your business qualifies, please get in touch — we're happy to help.

Do I need a VAT number to place an order?

A VAT registration number is preferred for VAT-registered businesses and helps us process your account efficiently. However, if your business is not yet VAT-registered, you can still apply for a trade account — VAT will simply be charged where applicable on your purchases.

If you have questions about VAT treatment on specific product lines, our team is happy to assist.

Are your products sold in bulk quantities?

Yes. As a wholesale supplier, all of our products are sold in trade quantities — typically by the case, carton, or bulk pack. Pack sizes vary by product and supplier, and are clearly indicated on each product listing and in-store.

Our wholesale pack structure makes it easy to buy the right quantities for your retail business, whether you're topping up existing stock or introducing a new line.

Do you offer bulk discounts or volume pricing?

Our wholesale pricing is already heavily discounted compared to retail — giving your business a strong margin from the outset. On top of this, additional volume discounts may be available on larger order quantities for certain product lines.

Speak to a member of our sales team in store or by phone to find out which lines are eligible for further volume pricing and what quantities apply.

Do you offer credit accounts for established trade customers?

Credit terms are something we discuss with individual customers based on their trading history and requirements. If you're an established buyer and would like to explore account options, please speak directly with a member of our sales team either in store or by contacting us via the details on our website.

Products & Stock

What product categories does DPR Wholesalers carry?

Our warehouse carries over 30,000 product lines spanning a wide range of non-food wholesale categories, including:

  • Housewares & Kitchen Products
  • Stationery & Office Supplies
  • Gifts, Frames & Home Décor
  • Toys, Games & Children's Products
  • Gardening & Outdoor Supplies
  • Seasonal & Festive Merchandise
  • Party & Celebration Goods
  • Health, Beauty & Personal Care Lines
  • Retail Essentials & Everyday Consumer Goods
  • Home & Lifestyle Products
  • Pound Lines & Value Product Ranges

We cater for everything from everyday value lines through to higher-quality products, giving our trade customers genuine flexibility when building their retail range. Our team is always adding new lines and monitoring emerging consumer trends to keep our stock fresh and commercially relevant.

How do I know if an item is in stock?

Stock availability is displayed in real time on each product page on our website. If an item shows as out of stock, it may be due for replenishment — contact our team directly for restock information, expected availability dates, or to discuss suitable alternatives.

Because our stock turns over rapidly — with new lines arriving weekly — we recommend checking back regularly or visiting the warehouse in person to see the full range of what's currently available.

Do you stock seasonal and festive products?

Seasonal trading is one of our core specialisms. DPR Wholesalers maintains a substantial seasonal stock programme throughout the year, covering all the major retail gifting and celebration occasions, including:

  • Christmas & Advent
  • Halloween & Bonfire Night
  • Valentine's Day
  • Mother's Day & Father's Day
  • Easter
  • Eid, Diwali & Other Cultural Celebrations
  • Summer & Garden Season
  • Back to School

Seasonal stock typically arrives ahead of each key occasion, so we recommend visiting early in the season to make the most of our full selection. Our buying team plans seasonal ranges well in advance to ensure availability and competitive pricing for trade buyers.

How often does new stock arrive?

New product lines arrive at our Brimsdown warehouse on a weekly basis. We are constantly sourcing fresh stock from a wide network of suppliers, and our buying team is always on the lookout for on-trend products, emerging categories, and competitively priced lines that will work well for our customers' retail businesses.

If you visit regularly, you'll always find something new to add to your range. Our team is also happy to flag new arrivals and highlight lines that are currently performing well for other retailers.

Can I view the full product range online?

A selection of our product range is available to browse on our website at dprwholesalers.co.uk. However, because our stock changes so frequently — with new lines arriving weekly and seasonal products rotating throughout the year — the full scope of our 30,000+ lines is best experienced by visiting the warehouse in person.

We also produce product leaflets and catalogues for key ranges. Our team can advise you on the latest publications and what's available during your visit.

Does DPR Wholesalers offer a delivery service?

Yes — DPR Wholesalers offers a direct wholesale delivery service to trade customers across mainland UK, bringing your order straight to your business premises. Our own delivery fleet handles local and regional routes directly, while national deliveries are fulfilled via trusted courier partners.

Delivery charges and lead times vary based on location and order size. A minimum order value of £200 applies to all delivery orders. Contact our sales team to confirm availability in your area and discuss scheduling.

Which areas does DPR Wholesalers deliver to?

We deliver to trade customers across mainland UK. Our own fleet covers London and surrounding regions directly, with regular routes throughout North and East London, Hertfordshire, and Essex. For businesses further afield, we work with trusted courier partners to ensure reliable nationwide delivery.

Delivery charges and timescales vary by location and order size. Contact our sales team directly for confirmation of availability and lead times for your specific postcode.

How long does delivery take?

Standard wholesale delivery is typically completed within 1–3 working days from the date of dispatch, depending on your location and the delivery method used. Local and regional orders via our own fleet may arrive sooner, while deliveries to more distant mainland UK locations may take slightly longer.

Our team will confirm an estimated delivery window when your order is placed. If you have a time-sensitive requirement, please let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate it.

Can I collect my order from the warehouse?

Yes — collection is available from our Brimsdown warehouse. Many trade customers prefer to visit us in person to browse the full range, select stock hands-on, and load directly to their vehicle. Free on-site parking is available and the site is set up to accommodate both cars and commercial vehicles.

If you'd like to pre-arrange a collection for a specific order, please contact us in advance so we can have everything ready for you.

What should I do if my goods arrive damaged?

In the unlikely event that your delivery arrives with damaged goods, please notify our team within 24–48 hours of receipt. To help us resolve the matter swiftly, include clear photographs of both the damaged products and the outer packaging when you get in touch.

We take delivery quality seriously and will investigate promptly to arrange a suitable resolution — whether that's a replacement, credit, or refund, depending on the circumstances.

Can I return unwanted items?

Due to the nature of wholesale trade, we are not able to accept returns for items simply because they are no longer required. Returns are accepted where goods are confirmed to be faulty, damaged in transit, or incorrectly supplied.

If you believe you have received incorrect or defective stock, please contact our team as soon as possible with your order details and we will work to put things right.

How do I place an order for delivery?

To arrange a delivery order, simply contact our sales team by telephone or email. We'll confirm your product requirements, check availability, agree a delivery schedule, and advise on any minimum order thresholds that apply. Our friendly team is on hand during warehouse opening hours to take your order and answer any questions.

Sustainability & Carbon Reduction

At DPR Wholesalers, we recognise that responsible business practices go hand in hand with long-term success. We are actively working to reduce our environmental footprint across our warehouse operations, delivery fleet, and supply chain.

What steps is DPR Wholesalers taking to reduce its carbon footprint?

We take our environmental responsibilities seriously and are implementing a range of practical measures to reduce our carbon emissions and operate more sustainably. Key initiatives include energy efficiency improvements to our warehouse operations, responsible waste management and recycling across our site, and efforts to reduce unnecessary packaging throughout our supply chain.

We continue to review our processes regularly and look for meaningful, practical ways to lower our environmental impact — both within our own operations and in the wider supply chain we're part of.

Are your delivery vehicles environmentally considered?

We are actively reviewing our delivery fleet as part of our broader commitment to carbon reduction. Efficient routing of our delivery vehicles helps us to minimise unnecessary mileage, while we continue to assess options for transitioning to lower-emission transport as part of our longer-term environmental goals.

Does DPR Wholesalers offer products with sustainable or eco-friendly credentials?

We are increasingly including products with environmentally friendly credentials within our range, reflecting the growing demand from both retailers and their customers for more sustainable goods. Please speak with a member of our team in store for guidance on which lines within our current range carry eco-friendly or recycled-content attributes.
